• Important decision that our team made about the site plan was to add on to the park instead of renovating the whole park. We decided to construct a recreational center, + add memorials/ fountains, a community garden and outdoor recreational activities such as a basketball court, tennis court etc.

• Recreational center will include a safe place for people with different identities

• Add a memorial around the recreation center that will include history/ new place to take pictures, to attract Newark residents to go and learn history while admiring the site.

• Water Fountain will not be used to throw pennies (not a wishing fountain) + will have reusable water flowing.

• Exploring community engagements and ways to better Newark
